Ghanaian celebrity Yaw Dabo met Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani before their clash against Ghana in the 2022 World Cup.
While the Uruguay players were warming up, the Ghanaian actor spotted Edison Cavani who he adores and yelled his name while heading to the tunnel.
The former Manchester United made time to give Dabo a special handshake at the Al Janoub Stadium last Friday.
Although it eventually ended in tears for Ghana after the match, Yaw Dabo will no doubt cherish this moment and embrace it as a souvenir from his time in Qatar.
The Black Stars were eliminated after the first round of the tournament following a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay.
After defeating South Korea in their second group game, the Black Stars needed a draw or win against Uruguay to advance to the last 16 stages.
But the team failed to negotiate for points against their ‘enemies’ Uruguay.
The Black Stars are expected in Ghana on Monday with preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers set to begin in earnest.
The four-time African champions sit top of Group D with four points from the first two games of the qualifiers.
