Accra Great Olympics forward Maxwell Abbey Quaye says he is delighted to score a brace in his outfit’s sweet victory over Liberty Professionals in match day 15 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Dade boys defeated Liberty Professional 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, courtesy Maxwell Abbey Quaye.
Quaye put up an impressive performance and scored twice to seal all three points for the Olympics and subsequently won the Man of the Match gong.
Speaking after the game, he said, “We were all down at training after our defeat to Hearts of Oak. But I will thank Coach Annor Walker for the courage he gave us after that heavy defeat”
“He motivated us a lot going into the Liberty game and I think that propelled us to win the game,” he said.
“He has been influential to us that is why I embraced him when I scored the winning goal. I thank him a lot for his words of encouragement. He was behind us throughout the game” he added.
