The Deputy General Secretary for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen has affirmed that Ghanaian should understand the Electoral Commission with the decision on using Ghana card for the coming new voters’ registration.
In an interview with Abena Pokua Ahwenee, on Dadi FM “Efa wo ho” morning show, Lawyer Obiri Boahene stated that in order to make the 2020 general election smoothly and peaceful, Ghanaians should just obey any directives coming from the Electoral Commission (EC).
“Ghanaian should not judge over the EC amendment whiles it has not been approved as by law,” he explained.
From his view, Ghanaians should wait for EC’s amendment to become law first before they give out any comment.
“Every Ghanaian can sue the EC boss on her decision to use Ghana card for new voters’ registration but the EC will not change her decision,” he urged.
Adding proudly, the Deputy General Secretary said; “Whether the EC use the new voter’s register or not the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will win the 2020 general election.”
