Eastern Regional Minister, Honourable Seth Kwame Acheampong has said the New Patriotic Party’s Administration has established a new State-of-Art Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Senior High School has been established at Abomosu in the Atiwa West District.
He said another new TVET Centre of Excellence has been established at Anyinam in the Atiwa East District whilst 404 educational infrastructure has been provided from 2017 to date for Basic to Senior High Schools in the Region.
Outlining the Party’s achievements in the Region during Town Hall Meeting at Koforidua, Honourable Seth Kwame Acheampong said Senior High School Enrolment increased from 127,095 to 196,314 between 2016/2017 & 2023/2024 academic years, representing an increase of 54.46%.
The minister said a lot of infrastructure projects have been provided to give facelift to the University of Environment & Sustainable Development and other Colleges of Education in the Region.
He said a total of 199 Unit Classroom Blocks( Six (6) type) have been Constructed,33 Senior High School Classroom blocks, 126 Unit Classroom Blocks(Three Unit type), 59 Two (2) – Unit Classroom Blocks, 41 SHS Dormitory Blocks and 26 Teachers Bungalow/Quarters.
