Actor and aspiring Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency John Dumelo has said categorically that, he isn’t into politics to disappoint the electorates.
The actor who is contesting on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) made this assertion in an interview with an Accra based radio station.
John Dumelo’s reply came as a response to a concern raised by his colleague in the entertainment industry, Samini made on twitter some days ago, which the musician stated that he will only support John Dumelo if only he won’t let the youth down when elected to represent the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in parliament.
“I can’t be a Member of Parliament and fail. I’m looking at the future of being in politics and so, I’m not here to fail; I’m here to serve humanity and let everybody have a prosperous life”, John Dumelo said.
In furtherance, John Dumelo added that the virtual concert organized by the government to launch the COVID – 19 Tracker App was unnecessary. He also revealed that he didn’t know about the concert until he read comments about it on social media.
He further said the resources spent on the concert could have helped in the combat of the pandemic.
