On Friday, 2nd May 2025, Ms. Raynelle Nana Yaa Boadu, Chief Executive Officer of the Gutsy Women Foundation, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the Foundation’s upcoming Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at educating and empowering young people to say no to drugs.
Ms. Boadu outlined the objectives of the campaign and emphasized the urgent need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to address the growing challenge of drug abuse among Ghanaian youth.
In response, Dr. Awusi commended Ms. Boadu for her Foundation’s proactive efforts and noted that the campaign aligns with the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy—particularly in the areas of youth development, education, and public health.
Dr. Awusi further noted that, as an agency committed to sustainable national development, the Authority recognizes that economic progress must be complemented by social well-being. She therefore expressed her willingness to explore potential avenues for collaboration to amplify the reach and impact of this important initiative.
