The 11th Edition of the Spanish Language Course for Diplomats and Public Servants was officially launched on Thursday, 19th September, 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Director for Legal and Treaties Bureau of the Ministry, Amb. Jane Gasu Aheto, expressed appreciation to the Government of Colombia for their commitment since the inception of the course in 2014. She stated that, it was a testament of the good relations that exist between the two countries and seized the opportunity to encourage the participants to be committed to learning the language not only as a personal achievement but rather towards strengthening their capacity to serve effectively on the global stage.
On his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Ghana, H.E. Daniel Garces Carabali congratulated the participants for their key interest to learn the Spanish language as well as the Colombian culture. He impressed upon them to fully participate in all the activities of the course
The Spanish Language Course for Diplomats and Public Officials was initiated in February 2014 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ghana and Colombia.
