The Eastern Regional Youth Wing of the Opposition National Democratic Congress has met to strategize for the reorganization of the party ahead of 2024 polls.
The meeting organized by the Regional Youth wing was attended by all 33 Constituency Youth Organizers and their deputies in the region.
The meeting was to assess the performance of the youth wing in the region before and during the 2020 Presidential election.
The youth wing reflected on both challenges and successes chocked and tabled recommendations going forward.
The Eastern Regional Youth Organizer Emmanuel Okai Minta commended the youth Organizers for working hard to improve marginally, the gains of the party in the 2020 elections in the region which manifested in increasing the Parliamentary seats from five to eight in the region.
He announced that the immediate focus of the party is to embark on reorganization ahead of the 2024 election which the youth will play a vital role.
He stated that victory for NDC in 2024 is non-negotiable therefore urged the youth Organizers to work harder.
Nonetheless, the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, Emmanuel Okai Minta, encourages the youth in the country to be more vigilant and puts President Akufo Addo on strict accountability radar to prevent him from causing a further mess to the economy in his last tenure.
Mr. Okai Minta said ” the ballooning public debt to Gross Domestic Product(GDP) with nothing to justify, hounding of anti-corruption fighters, increasing cases of corruption, collapsing of businesses are all matters that the youth of Ghana must have an interest because they have both short and long term implications on the youth. So at this final term of the President, we must put Akufo Addo on the check to prevent mess to the economy”.
He said the youth must be willing to embark on a demonstration when necessary and let their voices be heard on issues of national interest.
Present at the meeting were Richard Nyarko and Sidi Bello (both deputy Regional youth Organizer s), William Kwame Atamudzi (Regional Vice-Chairman), Ruth Seddoh Dela (Deputy National youth organizer), Hackman Kabore (Regional Organiser), David Dakudzi (Deputy Regional Organiser), Shirley Naana Osei-Ampem (Regional Women Organiser), Madam Faustina (Central Regional Women Organiser).

The Eastern Regional Youth Organiser okai mintah can’t be accepted to maintain for the next 2024 election. Why ?Because his work is not encouraging with the youths and also he is the cost of Mahama loose in the eastern region during 2020 elections.
As the youth Organiser u can’t be sitting in the house and then given instructions. He came out with a farm project so that more youths can be beneficial. Now how many Constituency youths has gain more impact from the project .
Henceforth, He doesn’t deserve another chance again. The youths
