Thirteen-year-old Ibrahim Emmanuel, also known as Kofi, has been reported missing but was found in Atwemamena, a village in the Eastern Region along the Accra-Kumasi highways.
According to Ibrahim, his parents reside in Kumasi-Esasi, but he had been living with someone in Doboro, Accra. His decision to leave Doboro and return to his parents in Kumasi-Esase was motivated by alleged maltreatment and lack of access to education.
On Friday, March 29th, 2024, Ibrahim managed to sneak away from Doboro but found himself stranded on the Accra-Kumasi highways due to a lack of transportation fare.
Ibrahim only remembers his mother’s name as Afua Pokuaa.
