Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia joined various stakeholders today, for the launch of the 100-day countdown to the 13th African Games, which will be hosted in Ghana, for the first time in our history, in March next year.
As part of the 100-day countdown, he also inspected ultra-modern facilities which have been constructed in Borteyman, and at the University of Ghana, for the Games.
These beautiful, multi-purpose facilities, do not only demonstrate Ghana’s readiness to host the rest of Africa, but also underline the unprecedented investment our government has made in the provision of sports infrastructure, including 10 sports stadia in each of the 10 old regions, to aid sports development in the country.
“Sports is now more than just a game, and hosting the African Games, will bring a wide range of benefits to Ghana” Dr Bawumia added.
