A two-day training workshop for trainers was held to educate selected staff on the new modules to be included in the MyNHIS App.
They also performed a User Acceptance Test (UAT) on the new modules as part of the exercise at the NHIA head office in Accra.
The trained staff are expected to train other users as well as give first-line help to members who may need some assistance using the the new modules when it goes live.
The new modules of the app includes Group Enrolment (Registration and Renewals of people in a group), a Messaging Module which will allow nhis members to receive broadcast messages from the NHIA and also allow the members to send their complaints for redress
Health Provider Locator Module which will help members to locate NHIS credentialed health providers wherever they find themselves
The Preferred Primary Provider (PPP) Selection Module which will allow members to select their nearest preferred providers they would wish to attend when they need medical care.
