Two persons have been burnt to ashes while two others have sustained severe injuries after a Hyundai Salon car and two other articulator vehicles came on a head on collision at Tonnisco Quarry junction, near Gomoa Potsin Junction on the Kasoa – Winneba – Cape Coast Highway of the Central Region.
The accident was between a Hyundai Elantra salon car with registration number GW 4260-22, and two Articulator vehicles with registration numbers GL 736 -13 and GS 3913 -11 respectively.
Eric Owusu Amponsah reports that the Saloon car made a wrongful overtaken and veered into the first articulator vehicle with the registration number GL 736 -13 with the second vehicle also hitting the first articulator in the middle of the highway.
Speaking to an eyewitness Kwame Tawiah, revealed two people in the first articulator vehicle were been burnt alive after the crash whiles two other persons in the Saloon car have been rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the second articulator vehicle Inusah Alidu, said they tried saving the victims but they were prevented by the fire.
Meanwhile, the police with the help of the Ghana National Fire Service have started investigation into the matter.
