A total of five Ghana Premier League clubs will now play their home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium as Kumasi Asante Kotoko becomes the latest club to adopt the venue for the remainder of their home matches
The Kumasi-based club has had to switch home venues due to ongoing renovation works at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The switch to the Accra Sports Stadium was announced by Kotoko on social media on Friday.
Already this season, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Inter Allies, and Legon Cities have played their home games at the stadium with the schedules manipulated to ensure that none of the teams play at home at the same time.
Kotoko’s switch to the Accra means that the league fixtures will be manipulated further to ensure that teams do not play at home at the same time.
The next premier league fixtures will have Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies playing at home.
