Dr Kwaku Frimpong, President of Ghana Premier League (GPL) side, Ashantigold Sporting Club is confident the Miners will qualify to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after being held to a goalless draw by Burkinabe side Salitas FC.
The first leg encounter came off at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday, November, 29 with Ashgold failing to utilize the home advantage in this crucial fixture.
But according to Dr Frimpong popularly known as ‘Champion’, he is confident that they can win in the return fixture at away and progress to the next stage of the competition.
“I will assure the people of Adansi and Ghana that we will go and beat Salitas. We will score them 2-0 and progress” he emphasized.
Salitas FC will welcome the miners in Ouagadougou for the return fixture on Saturday.
