John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer for National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he will ensure massive developmental projects for the people of the Eastern region and Ghana as a whole when elected into power.
He disclosed this in an interview on Koforidua based Sunrise fm on Friday, November 22, 2024.
According the former president, “we have two sectors in Ghana’s economy, which is private and public, but most Ghanaians are depending on public sector alone to secure jobs, even though the private sector employ more”
“In Ghana, we are about 33 million people and only 10 million peoples are working in the public sector. So in order to reduce overcrowding of employees at public institutions, I want to strengthen our private sector so that many unemployed Ghanaians will have jobs to do”
He promised to support those who want to do small hand business in order to ensure they expand to employ more people
“God didn’t create us to work for somebody, but we can become bosses on our own by ensuring private businesses thrive.
