Tamale South Member of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, has disclosed the Electoral Commission (EC) officials who were used for the 2020 general elections have still not been paid.
The former minority leader has tasked the Finance Minister and the EC to do the right thing and pay the officials.
Speaking in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu said: “Minister of Finance, the Electoral Commission hasn’t even paid the members it used for the 2020 elections. Go and do what is right for them to pay them”.
The Minority in Parliament has been calling the Chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa to appear before Parliament to brief the House on the proposed Constitutional Instrument (CI) by the EC.
