Seven Independent candidates are contesting Parliamentary seats in the Eastern in the December 7 polls.
The Seven Independent candidates are Gyan Stephen Ayisi who is contesting in Fanteakwa South, Kwakye Faustina Yeboah – Fanteakwa North, and Marfo Enock Kwame in Abuakwa South.
The rest are Professor Dickson Kwasi Yeboah in Kade Constituency, Yaw Owusu Boateng in Asene Manso Akroso Constituency, Abrokwa Aboagye Sintim and Adje Twumasi William Kwanena for Ayensuano and Akropong respectively.
Seven Political Parties are also contesting in the 33 Seats in the Eastern Region and the total number of candidates is 92.
The Political Parties are; New Patriotic Party, National Democratic Congress, National Democratic Party, Progressive People’s Party, Convention People Party, People’s National Convention, and Liberal Party of Ghana.
A total of 1,641,050 people have registered in the 33 Constituencies in the Eastern Region to participate in Ghana’s December 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
