The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign has ended, with Medeama emerging as winners of the top-flight.
The Yellow and Mauves did not show mercy to Tamale City as they condemned them to relegation with a convincing 3-0 win at the Akoon Community Park on Sunday.
Top 4 Teams:
At the end of the season, Medeama finished as champions followed by Aduana Stars, Bechem United and Asante Kotoko (Top four).
The aforementioned clubs are expected to compete in the off-season GHALCA top four competition.
Three Teams Relegated from the GPL:
Three teams have been officially demoted to the Division One League after failing to maintain their status in the top flight.
King Faisal, Tamale City and Kotoku Royals will feature in the Division ranks when the next season gets underway.
Promoted GPL Teams:
Nations FC, Tano Bofoakwa and Heart of Lions will replace the relegated teams next season after gaining promotion from the Division One League.
The trio clubs emerged as winners in their various Division One zones.
Abednego Tetteh wins Top Scorer prize:
Bibiani Goldstars forward Abednego Tetteh has clinched the Ghana Premier League king gong after bagging 18 goals at the end of the campaign.
The former Bechem United striker found his form middle of the season after securing a move to Goldstars from King Faisal.
Before joining Goldstars, Tetteh had scored just two goals for King Faisal.
With an improved performance in the second of the season, Tetteh bagged 16 goals for Goldstars to finish the season with 18 goals.
