A section of Ghanaians is questioning the presence of some ministers of state at the 2022 FIFA World cup currently ongoing in Qatar.
According to them, the ministers should rather stay in the country and work as expected of them, especially in this era of the economic crisis facing Ghana.
Minister of Energy, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Foreign Affairs minister, Ursula Owusu, Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Yusif and his Deputy have all been spotted at the international football event.
Speaking with the reporter in a random interview, they were surprised to see the ministers in Qatar instead of helping the President and the NPP deliver on their mandate.
“How can ministers of state leave the country to go and watch football in this current economic crisis? They have shown that they are not patriotic at all. I wish President Akufo-Addo can take a bold step and sack them from office” some Ghanaians complained.
Others were also a bit lenient on the Sports minister as they were of the view there was nothing wrong with his attendance being the sector minister.
