Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng is confident the Black Stars will beat Nigeria to secure qualification to the 2022 World Cup tournament in Qatar.
The West African rivals were paired against each other in the 2022 World Cup play-offs to be played in March.
Ghana will first host the Super Eagles in Accra before the second leg in Nigeria.
The winner of both legs will secure qualification to the World Cup slated for November and December in Qatar.
Despite the Black Stars poor showing at the 2021 Cup of Nations, the Dalian Pro attacker believes Ghana will overcome Nigeria to secure qualification to the World Cup.
In an interview with Sylvester Ntim of Koforidua-based Bryt FM, he said, “I think we can go through because Ghana playing Nigeria is not about form, it’s a different game altogether so I think anything can happen”
“I think Ghana can beat Nigeria because we’ve played a couple of games and Ghana has won much than Nigeria,” he said.
