South Korea coach Paulo Bento has tagged Portugal and Uruguay as favourites of Group H of the 2022 World Cup tournament.
The soccer mundial will be staged in Qatar between November and December 2022.
The Korea Republic has been paired against Portugal, Uruguay and Ghana in a draw that was held last Friday in Doha, Qatar.
Reacting to the draw, the Portuguese trainer tipped Portugal and Uruguay as favourites to progress from the group.
“When you reach the final phase of a World Cup you can’t expect easy pairings and I’m not saying this out of politeness, it’s believing in miracles that don’t exist”.
“I think Portugal and Uruguay are the favourites from the start and I think most will agree with me.” The 52-year-old said.
South Korea will begin their campaign against Uruguay on November 24 and will four days later face Ghana (28) before taking on Portugal (December 2).
The Asian outfit’s best performance at the World Cup came in 2002 when they finished 4th place.
