Out of the four countries that secured qualification to represent Africa at the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia, three have progressed from their various groups to the next stage.
Nigeria, Morocco, South Africa and Zambia were the countries that booked World Cup qualification.
Aside Zambia, the remaining African countries put up a spirited performance to advance from their groups to the Round of 16.
Zambia were unable to progress from a group that consisted of Spain, Japan and Costa Rica in Group C.
Nigeria became the first African country to book qualification to the Round 16 after finishing second in Group B with five points.
South Africa followed suit after putting up an impressive performance in their final group game against Italy to progress. They inflicted a 3-2 win over the European country to seal qualification after finishing second with four points.
Morocco became the third African country to secure last 16 spot after beating Colombia 1-0 in their final Group H game on Thursday morning.

South Africa will face Netherlands on Sunday whiles Nigeria lock horns with England on Monday. Morocco on the other hand will face France on Tuesday.
