President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated clearly that nothing dishonorable was done to Covid-19 fund during the outbreak of the world pandemic disease.
President Akufo-Addo commended Ghanaians for contributing to the fund which has helped to curb the virus.
President Akufo-Addo added that many countries have closed down their schools as a result of the pandemic but Ghana did not lose a single student to covid-19 in school.
Delivering the 2023 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in parliament, President Akufo-Addo said that the government has supported Ghanaians with free water and electricity supply at the time of difficulties.
‘‘We must thank the Almighty that we are alive today and repair the damages and begin to rebuild our economy.’’
He stated categorically that his government had not been reckless in borrowing and in spending.
