The 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) began today, with candidates enjoying the serene surroundings at the Oyoko Methodist Senior High examination center in the New Juaben North constituency of the Eastern Region.
Examination papers were delivered on schedule, indicating that everything went off without a hitch.
Candidates were spotted getting excited just before the examination started as their teachers gave them their final blessings.
Speaking with the examination supervisor, has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful environment in the conduct of the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). He added that everything has gone smoothly so far and expects that this continues throughout the examination procedure.
He noted that 184 students from thirteen (13) schools took the exam. Unfortunately, two candidates were unable to participate in the exam.
He again indicated that, candidates had demonstrated high character with no signs of malpractice, and if this trend continues, this year’s BECE will be the best.
