Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, has expressed satisfaction with the country’s general mood ahead of the December 7, 2024 election.
The Vice President has also stated that he is impressed by folks’ determination to vote.
“So far from what I hear around the country, there is calm, there is very little tension I can see around the country. I gather that people were queuing from midnight across the country, which shows enthusiasm,” he told journalists after casting his ballot in Walewale of the North East region.
Asked about his expected margin of victory he responded, “A victory is a victory, we just want to win, and by the grace of God will win.”
Except for a few delays in certain areas, voting began at 7:00 a.m. and is slated to end at 5:00 p.m.
