Sefwi Bekwai based group, ‘Friends of Brefo’ have lunched a keep fit club to set up a support base and rally behind the bid of Mr.Bright Asamoah Brefo, the 2012 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency ahead of the 2024 elections.
At an inaugural session of its members, the group emphasised it would set up plans to carry out for the restoration of the seat from the incumbent lawmaker.
Justifying the support for Mr.Brefo’s candidature, leaders revealed that Mr.Brefo is a known memeber of the party in the constituency and are optimistic his candidature will go a long way to help the party’s flagbearer gain the needed votes.
The hundreds of party supporters gathered from the various polling stations in the Sefwi Bekwai zone marched through the principal streets to register their loyalty for the business mogul.
“Conforming to the Pro- Brefo faction, using tribal comments involves a propensity to infect the party and has an impact on efforts targeted at reclaiming Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai parliamentary seat”.
Those who were dreaming that Mr. Brefo will to drop out from active politicians after the 2012 elections defeat were wrong in their thoughts as he is poised to help redeem the NDC in the 2024 general elections.
