The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made shocking allegation against the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claiming that the party is secretly training thugs to cause chaos in the Ashanti Region during the upcoming general elections.
According to Samuel Pyne, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Mayor in an interview with Kwamina Sam Biney on Adekyee Mu Nsem, alleged the NDC’s plans involve kidnapping, robbery, and even violence against electoral officers.
He again revealed that the Ghana Police Service is aware of these threats and is taking steps to ensure public safety before, during and after the elections.
He accused the NDC of attempting to destabilize the peace in the region and disrupt the electoral process and blamed John Dramani Mahama as the brain behind the plan by the NDC.
Mr. Sam Pyne assured NPP supporters that the party will not be intimidated by the NDC’s threats and will rely on the police and security services to maintain peace and order in the region and country at large.
