Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has turned in his nomination paperwork at the Electoral Commission offices.
Alongside him were Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, his running mate, and his spouse Alma Pokua Adade-Prempeh. His wife Samira Bawumia was also with him.
To show support and solidarity, party officials from the National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, General Secretary, Justin Koduah Frimpong, Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and other prominent NPP members are also present at the EC.
Bawumia is aiming to break the eight-year curse and succeed his boss, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as the next leader of Ghana.
