John Dramani Mahama, a former president and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has urged Ghanaians to value leaders will have the country at heart and always prioritize the progress of it citizens.
According to him, people should acknowledge the distinctions between political parties, emphasizing that not all politicians uphold the same standards of honesty and morality.
During his campaign tour in the Upper West Region, Mr. Mahama addressed the chiefs and people of Kojokperi in the Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI) Constituency. He refuted the idea that politicians and political parties are all the same. He emphasized that although some people value honesty more than others do.
Mr. Mahama added that, “A lot of people are disappointed in the NPP, and they are going around saying politicians are the same. I beg to differ. All the parties are not the same, all politicians are not the same,”
He promised voters that he would lead with integrity and accountability in order to rebuild public trust in Ghana’s leadership.
The NDC flagbearer went on to denounce some politicians for campaigning on hollow promises in an attempt to win over voters.
“Some will come and tell you what you want to hear just because they want political power. It is not like that,” he added, urging Ghanaians to see through these tactics and support leaders who truly value the nation’s progress.
