President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the government made careful plans to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
He claims that due of careful preparation, radicalism has not afflicted Ghana as it does neighboring countries.
During the State of the Nation speech on Tuesday, February 27, he stated that the welfare of the military forces and all security services has been given priority and that they have been adequately resourced.
“Our nation is “safe and secure.” he said.
He continued, saying that the police now have far superior equipment than they did in the past.
He declared, “We can no longer take the territorial integrity of the country for granted,” citing the extremism that is taking place in other parts of West Africa.
