Ghana coach Otto Addo has announced a 25-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Angola and Niger.
The West African powerhouse will take on already-qualified Angola on November 15 before playing host to bottom-rock Niger on November 18, 2024.
As the Black Stars prepare to wrap up the AFCON qualifiers, Otto Addo has unveiled his squad, with three local players making the cut.
Kotoko’s Emmanuel Antwi, Kasim Razak of Nations FC and Isaac Afful are the only home-based players to earn a call up.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has been dropped from the squad following recent poor performance.
Captain Andre Ayew and his deputy Thomas Partey remains out of the squad for the upcoming games.
Monaco defender, Mohammed Salisu will not be available for the games after failing to recover from an injury he picked during the October break.
Ghana has endured a torrid AFCON qualifications, losing two and drawing two games after four matches. They have managed only two points and are currently third on the standings.
