The newly elected executive board of the St. Paul Technical School Old Students Association (SPATSOSA) has unveiled an ambitious plan for the revitalization of the school, with a primary focus on infrastructure development and academic excellence. This bold initiative, spearheaded by the new chairman, Ing. Charles N. Amoako, promises to create lasting improvements that will benefit both current students and the wider community in the Eastern Region.
In a speech delivered to Nhyiraba Solomon Nartey following the ceremonial handing-over and swearing-in of the new executives, Ing. Amoako highlighted the urgent need for infrastructural upgrades at St. Paul Technical School. He noted that the school’s facilities have long been inadequate to meet the growing needs of the student body, and he committed to working collaboratively with local authorities, educational bodies, and alumni to address these deficiencies.

“We are entering a new chapter for SPATSOSA,” Ing. Amoako stated. “Our vision is clear: to uplift St. Paul Technical School to new heights, both academically and infrastructurally. We are committed to revamping the school’s facilities, ensuring our students have the resources and environment they need to excel.”
The newly elected chairman also emphasized the importance of education, urging students to take their studies seriously as they embark on their educational journeys. “Education is the key to a brighter future,” he remarked. “We must invest in our future, and that begins with each and every student at St. Paul Technical School.”
As the SPATSOSA community prepares for the highly anticipated 2025 Homecoming event, excitement is building for a series of activities set to take place at the school’s campus in Kukurantumi-Akim. The Homecoming, which will run through the weekend, aims to celebrate the accomplishments of the alumni while also drawing attention to the pressing need for infrastructural improvements.
The theme for this year’s Homecoming celebration is “Our School, Our Pride: A Celebration of Excellence,” a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy of St. Paul Technical School and its alumni. The event will culminate with a Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday, 30th November 2025, bringing together past and present members of the SPATSOSA community to reflect on the school’s achievements and set the stage for future successes.
Throughout the weekend, there will be various activities, including alumni networking sessions, a fundraising drive for infrastructure projects, and opportunities for current students to connect with successful alumni from a variety of fields. The highlight of the weekend will be a gala dinner that will honor distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions and communities.
“This Homecoming marks not just a reunion, but the beginning of a renewed commitment to excellence at St. Paul Technical School,” said Ing. Amoako. “We are here to celebrate the school’s rich history, but we are also here to invest in its future.”

The 2025 Homecoming is poised to be an unforgettable event that unites alumni, students, and stakeholders in a shared vision for the continued growth and success of St. Paul Technical School. With the new executive team at the helm, the future of SPATSOSA looks bright, and the association’s efforts to improve the school’s infrastructure are just the beginning of a larger movement toward educational upliftment in the Eastern Region.
As the Homecoming weekend draws to a close, the SPATSOSA community will leave Kukurantumi-Akim not only with renewed pride in their alma mater but also with a sense of hope and determination for the continued progress of St. Paul Technical School.
