President John Dramani Mahama stated in his 2026 SONA that the “Resetting Ghana” plan is effective, presenting it as a national pledge to fortify institutions and regain public trust in government.
“The resetting Ghana agenda is our national commitment to restore economic stability, rebuild public trust in our democracy, strengthen our institutions and deliver tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary Ghanaians,” he said.
Mahama stressed the value of being truthful and open when addressing the problems facing the country.
“It is about turning the page on years of mismanagement and confronting our challenges with honesty and charting a new voice anchored in fiscal discipline, transparency and sustainable development,” he said.
He highlighted measures meant to enhance governance while making sure that residents experience the effects of policies in their day-to-day lives as he outlined his administration’s initiatives to establish accountability and fortify governmental structures.
“Our focus is on tangible outcomes that reflect the trust Ghanaians place in their government,” Mahama added, appealing for unity and collective effort in nation-building.
