Ghana coach Chris Hughton will in the coming days announce his squad for upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Madagascar and Comoros.
The Black Stars will begin the qualifiers on home turf against Madagascar before they travel to Comoros for the second group game.
The four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners will host Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on November 17 before facing Comoros at the Moroni Stadium on November 21, 2023.
Hughton will name a strong squad for the qualifiers as he seeks to secure early qualification to the mundial to be co-hosted by Mexico, USA and Canada.
Ghana will likely miss deputy captain and Arsenal star Thomas Partey has been sidelined with a groin injury.
But per media reports, Ayew, who is currently without a club will make a return to the Black Stars squad after missing the October international break.
Ayew was absent when the Black Stars suffered defeat to Mexico and USA respectively last month.
Although Ayew is clubless, but it is said Chris Hughton will be counting on his experience for the crucial World Cup opening games.
