The CEO of the Ghana Library Authority, Mr. Hayford Siaw attended the recent ceremony held at the ISSER Conference Hall of the University of Ghana to interact with contenders and present awards to some of the winners of the 2nd edition of the Samira Bawumia Literature Prize (SBLP).
The Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects developed the SBLP to foster a supportive environment for young, gifted writers in Ghana.
During the ceremony, the winners received cash prizes, laptops, and certificates, and the CEO expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who supported the contest.
He also underlined the importance of instilling a passion for writing in young people and encouraged all attendees to continue refining their writing skills.
