Three regions comprising 43 districts would be the first to have the COVID-19 vaccine administered in the first phase of the exercise after the delivery of 600,000 doses last Wednesday.
Greater Accra region has 25; the Ashanti region has 16 while the Central region also has two, according to President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, in his 24th address to the nation on measures taken against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the President, the Ghana Health Service would from Tuesday, 2nd March 2021 begin the deployment of the first 600,000 AstraZeneca vaccines for the first vaccination campaign.
Meanwhile, the first vaccination exercise has been targeted at specified persons who are mainly frontline workers in fighting the pandemic as well as people with underlying conditions.
