The Minister for Information, Honourable Fatimatu Abubakar together with the working committee of the Media Capacity Enhancement Programme (MCEP) jointly launched the 3rd cohort of the programme in Accra on Thursday.
The training, scheduled for September 10th to 13th, 2024, would be held in a hybrid format, with 40 journalists attending in-person at the University of Media, Arts and Communications (UNIMAC) in Accra, and 60 participating online.
This year’s edition will introduce 10 specialized modules which will address critical issues including fact-checking, understanding electoral processes, and navigating the digital landscape.
The MCEP is designed to address media capacity challenges and enhance the role of the media as the fourth estate in Ghana’s governance system.
Applications for this cohort will begin from August 23rd to 29th, 2024.
Hon.Abubakar encouraged media practitioners and media houses to apply for the training via the link provided below.
