Eighty-three percent (83%) of 115 persons infected with Covid-19 in the Eastern Region are Males with the rest of the 17 % females.
Also, 89% of COVID-19 cases recorded in the Region Mybrytfmonline.com can confirm that were asymptomatic (no symptoms).
Kwahu West and Suhum are the new Municipalities in Eastern Region that have recorded confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
Nkawkaw, the municipal Capital of Kwahu West has recorded 3 confirmed cases (1 of the patients is from Kumasi) while Suhum recorded one case.
Denkyembuor District on May 20, 2020 also recorded four (4) new cases increasing the number to 12 in the district.
The new confirmed cases have increased the Eastern Region case count to 115 as of May 21, 2020.
Already Lower Manya Krobo has recorded 70 cases, Asuogyaman (12), Akuapem North (8), Fanteakwa North (6), and Birim Central (2), West Akim (1)
Eighty-six (86) infected persons representing about 75% of the total case count have recovered in the region.
COVID-19 cases in Ghana currently stand at 6,269 after 173 new cases were recorded. The Ghana Health Service announced Thursday May 20, 2020.
The total number of recoveries is 1,898.
The death toll still stands at 31.
