Member of Parliament for Akatsi south Benard Ahiafor has been elected as the first deputy speaker of Ghana’s the parliament.
This follows his nomination by Governs Kwame Agbodza, MP for Adaklu and seconded by the deputy minority leader Patricia Appiagyei.
Also, the member of parliament for Fomena Andrew Asiamah Amoako has been re-elected as the 2nd deputy speaker upon nomination by Frank Annor Dompreh, the minority chief whip and seconded by Haruna Iddrisu.
The two deputy speakers were all elected unopposed as that of the Speaker.
