President Nana Akufo-Addo has entreated Ghanaians to eat healthy foods and also improve their hygiene.
According to the president, healthy style of living that’s to say, regular exercise and eating healthy foods boost the immune system against the deadly coronavirus disease. Adding that, a change in attitude as Ghanaians is also another major way to fight coronavirus.
The president went on and stated firmly that, patronizing healthy foods, regular exercise, ensuring personal hygiene, and improving a change of lifestyle routines should become permanent legacies of the pandemic.
Also highlighted vitamins A, B6, C and E as key vitamins that fortify the immune system.
President Akufo-Addo encouraged Ghanaians to eat healthy foods such as kontomire, millet, cashew nuts, crabs, plantain, okro, dawadawa, brown rice, mushrooms and oranges to fortify their immunity system.
Ghana has conducted 160,501 tests as at 10th May was with 4,700 positive cases and 494, recoveries, five (5) persons being critically ill, and four thousand, one hundred and seventy-nine (4,179) persons responding to treatment.
Twenty-two (22) persons, virtually all of them with underlying illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and chronic liver disease, have unhappily died.
Ban on all public gatherings and closure of Schools has been extended to 31st May 2020.
