The Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Business Analysis, Mr. Stephen, has organized a business summit dubbed the “Business Analysis Summit.” The event aims to bring together industry leaders, practitioners, and experts in business and data analysis to discuss the evolving role of data in driving modern industries.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Stephen emphasized that data and analysis play a crucial role in today’s industrial landscape. He noted that global and local companies such as Amazon and MTN Ghana are leveraging data to enhance their operations and decision-making processes. According to him, data and analysis are no longer just support functions but have become strategic pillars of business growth. The summit, therefore, seeks to unite professionals to celebrate Global Business Analysis Month, which is observed every November.
Mr. Stephen further explained that the rise of data and artificial intelligence (AI) should not be viewed as a threat to jobs but as a tool to improve efficiency through process automation. However, he cautioned that while AI is useful, it is not infallible. “You must always verify its output, know how to prompt it effectively, use clean data, and ensure privacy and governance in line with data protection standards,” he stated.
He also expressed optimism about the future of data and business analysis in Ghana, saying that awareness is growing not only among large corporations but also among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). “Data has become indispensable. Many organizations now view data as raw material that informs their decision-making and strategic direction,” he added.
The Business Analysis Summit marks a significant step toward fostering a unified and data-driven business community in Ghana.
