Three teenagers have been fined by Nkawkaw Magistrate Court for flouting directive by the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly as part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
The teenagers made-up of two female Senior High School students were fined GHS250 each on their plea of guilty.
The Magistrate Court Judge, His Lordship Albert Kwasi Owusu issued a bench warrant for arrest one other accused person who failed to appear in court.
The convicts were arrested by Taskforce of the Kwahu West District Assembly selling at prohibited as mean to decongest the street to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Ghana’s novel coronavirus cases have risen to 5,530 with recoveries also rising to 674 as of May 14, 2020
The cases have risen by 122 from the previous figure of 5,408.
13 out of 16 regions in Ghana have recorded cases. Savanna, Bono, and Ahafo regions are the three regions yet to record cases.
Eastern Region case count still stands at 99. Kwahu South District has not recorded a case yet.
