The Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) to enhance effective service delivery at the grassroots.
At a meeting with NALAG Executives on April 14, 2026, the Minister emphasized the vital role of assembly members in community development and the need for dedicated, accountable service. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve their operational capacity, including advocacy for logistics such as motorcycles to boost mobility and outreach.
Government continues to engage key stakeholders to strengthen decentralization, improve responsiveness, and promote inclusive development across all communities.
