Brekum Chelsea skipper Zakaria Fuseini hopes that the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League will continue after the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Ghana Premier League was suspended in March due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
It is unclear whether the football season will be truncated or not due to the rapid growth of the deadly disease.
But according to the towering guardsman, he will be happy to see the season continue after the break.
Fuseini despite eyeing a continuation of the topflight league has called on the leadership of the Ghana FA to take a decision that will favour players.
“Personally I’m against league cancellation because I would like us to continue the Ghana league after the disease but much will be dependent on the FA. We have leaders who steer the affairs of the FA, so they should make a decision that will be better for both players and clubs” he told Sylvester Ntim ‘Koke’ of Bryt FM in Koforidua.
“Talking about cancelling the league, I will leave it to the football association to decide. If they deem it necessary to continue fine but if they decide to annul it because of the Convid-19, I’m for it” he concluded.
