Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Emmanuel Victor Smith, delivered a heartfelt address at the Adisadel Old Boys Association (AOBA) Fundraising Ceremony, where he praised the enduring legacy of Adisadel College and the vital role alumni associations continue to play in Ghana’s national development.
Though proudly identifying himself as an alumnus of St. Augustine’s College, the Ambassador expressed deep admiration for Adisadel College’s longstanding contribution to Ghana through the production of distinguished leaders, professionals, scholars, and patriots whose impact extends beyond Ghana’s borders.
Speaking under the theme “Honoring Our Alma Mater and Enduring Legacy,” Ambassador Smith highlighted the shared values that unite Ghana’s historic educational institutions — excellence, discipline, scholarship, character, and service to country. He commended AOBA members for their continued commitment to giving back through scholarships, mentorship, infrastructure support, and the preservation of cherished traditions.
The Ambassador further encouraged Ghanaians in the diaspora to remain actively connected to Ghana not only emotionally, but also through investment, partnerships, mentorship, and opportunities that empower younger generations and contribute meaningfully to national development.
He noted that the continued support shown by old students toward their alma mater reflects responsible citizenship and demonstrates how strong alumni networks can directly shape Ghana’s future.
