Former vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), George Afriyie says cancellation of the Ghana Premier League will depend on congress and is entreating the leadership of the Ghana FA to call congress.
The Ghana Premier League was suspended in March due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
It is unclear whether the football season will be truncated or not due to the rapid growth of the deadly disease.
But according to former management committee chairman of the Black Stars, much will depend on congress if the season is to be cancelled.
“The matter to truncate the 2019/20 football season depends on Congress”.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is expected to take a decision on the future of the 2019/20 football season on June 30 after consultations with government and health authorities.
