An aspiring Communication Officer for the Akyem Oda Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ebenezer Frimpong, has pledged to rebrand the Constituency Communication Bureau as ‘THE GREEN EYE‘ if elected into office.
According to him, branding is key in modern political communication, and the new name will make the Akyem Oda NDC communication wing unique, attractive, and formidable among the rest.
“Under my leadership, the Akyem Oda NDC Communication Bureau will be rebranded as THE GREEN EYE. It will be a name that will make us unique and formidable in communicating the party’s message. The name THE GREEN EYE symbolizes vigilance, truth, and focus. We will be the eye that sees everything, reports accurately, and defends the NDC at all times,” Mr. Frimpong stated.
He further disclosed that as part of the rebranding agenda, his administration will introduce a monthly digital newspaper dubbed “The Green Eye Newspaper.”
He explained that the newspaper will serve as a strategic platform to showcase developmental projects of the NDC in the constituency and beyond, promote the achievements of the NDC government under President John Dramani Mahama, and counter misinformation and propaganda from political opponents.
Mr. Frimpong noted that effective communication has become the lifeblood of modern politics, and therefore the Akyem Oda NDC cannot afford to do communication the old way. He promised to build a vibrant, well-coordinated, and well-resourced communication team that will be active on the ground and on all social media platforms.
He added that his leadership will prioritize training and capacity building for branch communicators to equip them with facts, figures, and communication skills to win more souls for the party.
“We are going to move from defensive communication to offensive communication. We will set the agenda and let our opponents follow us. Akyem Oda NDC communication will be felt everywhere,” he emphasized.
Mr. Ebenezer Frimpong made this known when outlining his vision for the communication bureau ahead of the constituency elections.
He is, therefore, calling on delegates and party faithful to rally behind his vision and give him the mandate to transform communication in the constituency to secure victory for the NDC in 2028.
