Mr Kodjo Sena, a professor at the University of Ghana has advised religious bodies especially both Christians and Muslims to stay at home and pray to God for he believes their prayers will be heard not necessarily by going to church.
According to him, God is an omnipresent God and for that reason, he is everywhere. So a prayer said anywhere will still be heard by God which will also be answered.
The University of Ghana lecturer made this assertion in an interview with an Accra based radio station.
“People should stay at home, wherever you are you can pray and God will listen. We don’t want the mosque and churches to be another avenue for coronavirus spread. We don’t need to congregate for God to listen. God will listen to you anywhere”, Kodjo Sena averred.
The President of Ghana His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo on Sunday, May 31, 2020, lifted the ban he placed on religious activities in the country by stating ardently that every religious activity should have a total number of 100 people in attendance.
This advice from Kodjo Sena came after the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr Kofi Dzamesi on Monday outlined protocols for the resumption of religious activities beginning on Friday, June 5, 2020.
