Former President John Dramani Mahama has charged the government and Ghana Health Service not to sorely on just the immune system of infected patients of COVID-19 in the Country but they should be supported with antiviral and specific anti-inflammatory drugs.
Mr. Mahama is also expecting the government to provide food supplements to vulnerable groups, and stock drugs, which are proven to be efficacious against the virus in treatment centers.
Addressing party members to mark 28th Anniversary of the NDC, Mr. John Dramani Mahama who is seeking for reelection as the president said beyond implementing COVID-19 crisis management measures, Ghanaian leaders need to plan for the future on three main fronts: how to anticipate, prevent and mitigate epidemiological crisis; how to improve the resilience of the economy; and how to revive the economy.
He stressed on the need to place people above politics in all things, and let us continue to wash our hands with soap under running water.
