A four (4) year old boy has died after a building collapsed on him and the other two siblings.
The incident occurred at Gomoa Jukwaa near Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
The body of the deceased -Kofi Baah has been deposited at Agona Swedru Government Hospital.
Mother of the deceased, Maame Efua Pentsewa explained to Bryt FM Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah that the incident occurred shortly after she stepped out of the room to urinate during a heavy downpour.
She said two of the children were rescued but with injuries and rushed to the hospital where they are recuperating.
The now homeless family is appealing to benevolent persons to help rehabilitate the collapsed room.
Meanwhile, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Gomoa Central District, Benjamin Kojo Otoo has sympathized with the bereaved family.
He however seized the opportunity to advise residents to periodically rehabilitate their buildings to prevent such avoidable disaster.
